When:
March 14, 2013 @ 6:00 pm – 6:30 pm
Where:
Google+ Hangout on Air

Welcome to the Books & Beer Hangout! This is a weekly video chat on topic related to something in or around the world of digital publishing… and we drink beer!

This week Mark Lefebvre, Director of Self-Publishing & Author Relations at Kobo will join us to discuss how Kobo not only helps indie authors digitally publish their books, but also helps independent bookstores carry ebooks and support their local communities. Mark used to run an indie bookstore, so understands both sides of independent author/bookstore equation.

In 15 minutes, we’ll discuss how Kobo Writing Life works as a digital publishing platform, how independent authors can take advantage of it, and the ways that bookstores and authors can best support each other as the ebook space continues to evolve.

After that we open up the chat to everyone in what we call the “Hangover” at :15 after the hour to get your questions aswered live! Join us then to ask your questions directly, and by all means bring your own beer!

To join you just need a webcam, a microphone, and speakers (or a headset). Follow us on Google+ at https://plus.google.com/u/0/105236277208554710444/posts and go to our page during this time to watch or join in!
