Which is better, the iPad2 or the Kindle Fire?
These devices are going like gangbusters. Early December estimates projected Kindle Fire sales at 3.9 million units by the end of the year. But projections from the same time period had the Apple’s iPad 2 shipping 18.6 million units, just to keep things in perspective.
But take those numbers with a grain — or perhaps shaker-full — of salt. Neither Apple nor Amazon publicly report sales numbers, so these are analysts estimates. And the analysts now are back-tracking on earlier projections, ratcheting down estimates on the iPad 2. It’s maddening!
But you don’t buy a tablet because of it’s sales numbers. No, you buy a tablet based on several factors. Price and functionality are big components. And in this video, Jeff and I lay out the reasons why we made the choices we did.
Please don’t tell my mom I’m smoking cigars. And stick around for the bonus at the end, as long as you’re not easily offended.
